Robin Reibedanz, LL.M.Tax advisor

Main areas of practice and author profil

I advise companies, entrepreneurs, investors and private individuals on matters of german tax law. As a tax advisor, my aim is to provide clear guidance and recommendations for action. I always incorporate both tax and economic considerations into my advisory work.

A key focus of my work is providing tax advice on M&A transactions, financing rounds, business start-ups, liquidations, turnarounds and restructurings in Germany. Strategic tax planning is also part of my work.

In addition, I provide advisory services in international tax law for both outbound and inbound cases, for example regarding the establishment of permanent establishments, exit taxation, additional taxation, the avoidance of double taxation, withholding taxes or DAC6 reporting.

Another key focus of my work is the taxation of trusts and property, as well as the tax-optimised structuring of employee share ownership schemes under german law.

Furthermore, I provide comprehensive advice to clients during tax audits by the tax authorities (preparation, support and follow-up).

Education

I first came into contact with tax law whilst I was still at school, working in my father’s tax consultancy. I subsequently focused on tax law throughout my business studies at the Free University of Berlin in Germany. In my thesis, which was awarded the arqus Prize by the auditing firm PwC, I analysed the impact of US tax reform on the investment behaviour of US corporations in Germany.

After completing a Master’s degree at the University of Potsdam with a specialisation in tax law (LL.M.), I worked in corporate tax law at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. At the Big Four firm, I was a tax advisor on the focus teams specialising in tax structuring and the tax-optimised design of employee share ownership schemes. In 2026, I joined the german law firm ROSE & PARTNER.

Personal

I love spending my free time with my partner and our Labrador, Watson, in the idyllic natural areas in and around Hamburg. I also enjoy the city’s culinary delights and a good glass of red wine. As a former competitive athlete, I’m still passionate about sport – skiing in the mountains in winter and windsurfing at sea in summer, preferably in places I haven’t visited before.
