Expertise and Author Profile
Corporate Law, M&A, and Regulatory Law
I advise companies, the management and shareholders on complex matters of corporate and regulatory law, as well as on corporate transactions. My goal is to resolve complex legal issues in a commercially viable and strategically sound way.
An Overview of My Key Practice Areas:
- Corporate Litigation & Dispute Resolution: A central focus of my practice is advising shareholders and board members in crisis and conflict situations. This includes developing out-of-court solutions as well as representing clients in court and arbitration proceedings.
- Crisis & Insolvency: I safely guide you through corporate crises and provide strategic support in enforcing insolvency claims.
- Regulatory Law & BaFin Proceedings: I support clients operating in regulated environments (such as the German Investment Code (KAGB), Investment Firms Act (WpIG), Capital Investment Act (VermAnlG)), including fund companies as well as securities and financial institutions, with complex regulatory issues. I also represent them in registration and licensing procedures before the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
- M&A, Financing & Restructuring: Furthermore, I assist with corporate transactions, financing rounds (Venture Capital), company formations, and restructurings. I also draft legally secure investment and equity structures for founders, investors, and management teams.
Career History
Since 2025, I have been advising clients as a Partner at ROSE & PARTNER. Prior to this, I built my expertise in corporate, regulatory, and litigation law as an attorney at the leading international law firms Freshfields and Hengeler Mueller, at the VC-fund specialized boutique firm Orbit, and as an in-house legal counsel at the FinTech Trade Republic. Thanks to this versatile experience spanning major international law firms, the startup ecosystem, and the venture capital sector, I am familiar with diverse client requirements and advisory perspectives.
Before entering private practice, I earned my doctorate (Ph.D.) in corporate and insolvency law from the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg. During my legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court (Kammergericht) of Berlin, I also worked as a lecturer in commercial and corporate law at the Humboldt University of Berlin. I gained my first international litigation experience during my studies by successfully participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna and Hong Kong. I completed my legal studies, specializing in corporate, capital markets, and insolvency law, at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and University College London (UCL).
Personal Life
I am originally from Munich and have been living in Berlin since 2016. As a former competitive athlete in the 400m sprint, I now find my balance by staying active outdoors - especially in the mountains while cycling and skiing, as well as on the water while kitesurfing and diving.
