Finn R. Dethleff is the managing partner in our Munich office and focuses his practice on commercial and corporate law matters.
Finn spends considerable time counseling managing directors, chief executive officers (CEO), supervisory board members and shareholders of private and public companies on all commercial and corporate law matters. He is experienced in setting up tax optimized corporate and business structures as well as corporate housekeeping in Germany. He uses his wide-ranging experience in representing shareholders and executive bodies in sharegolder disputes to advise start-ups, on issues relating to venture capital investments, and on the implementation of structural measures under corporate law
Finn regularly advises domestic and international clients in all phases of a transaction. He comprehensively deals with the structuring and realization of merger and acquisition projects (M&A), private equity transactions (PE), joint ventures (JV) and strategic alliances.
Finn also represents his clients in legal proceedings relating to the above-mentioned areas.
Background
Finn studied law with a focus on corporate law at the University of Greifswald and the University of Hamburg. After passing the first state law examination, he worked as a research assistant in the corporate department of leading international law firms.
He completed his legal clerkships in the area of corporate law at international law firms in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Miami, as well as a clerkship at the German embassy in Jakarta/Indonesia.
Finn started his professional career working in the Corporate/M&A department of White & Case LLP, a leading international law firm, where he advised domestic and foreign clients on corporate law and capital market matters. Later, Finn was part of the founding team opening the Hamburg Office of the international law firm Noerr LLP.
In 2018, Finn joined ROSE & PARTNER as the responsible partner for the Munich Office.
