Expertise and Practice  

Helge Schubert is lawyer, tax consultant and certified tax law specialist. At ROSE & PARTNER LLP - Hamburg - he is responsible for tax structuring, tax litigation and criminal tax law.

His dual qualification as an attorney and tax advisor enables him to combine tax and legal aspects in structuring and in finding solutions for tax disputes. He advises clients in tax structuring and optimizing tax matters with a broad experience in corporate tax and the taxation of partnerships and inbound investment into Germany.

Another key focus is the representation of clients in dealings with the tax authorities and before the fiscal courts, including if necessary criminal defense regarding fiscal offences. Besides that, Helge advises in inheritance tax law and valuation of companies and real estate. He is a lecturer at the University Ostfalia and regularly lectures on German tax matters. Subsequently he worked as a tax partner in a medium-sized firm of tax advisors and attorneys in Hamburg. During his legal clerkship he worked in a tax office in Hamburg and public prosecutor’s office and gained valuable insights into the tax administration. Helge focused on tax law at an early stage during his university studies at the universities of Konstanz and Münster

Background

Prior to joining ROSE & PARTNER  LLP in Hamburg, Germany he spent several years working as a tax lawyer at Ernst & Young (EY) with a focus on inbound investments and real estate.

After EY he worked as a tax partner in a medium-sized tax adviser’s and lawyer’s office in Hamburg. While his legal clerkship he worked in a tax office in Hamburg and public prosecutor’s office and gained valuable insights into the tax administration.

He studied law with an early focus to tax law at the University Konstanz and Münster.
